   Carlisle is all about the celebration of the automobile. Regardless of condition, drive, tow or drag your car there. You won't regret it. Anything and everything imaginable is there. Anything NOT made in America, is represented on the field.  Also the Kit Car industry put on one spectacular display of cars. A variety of which one can not even imagine without seeing them first hand.

Friday May 20,2005

The Festivities Start Friday  when a few representative hit the show field. NASS members will be scouting out  the vendors asap, for the hot deals and fresh pickings.  Friday night a meal is planned, hopefully where all the member that made it, can chat and stuff their faces.

    As well as the NASS activities, check out The schedule of events that Carlisle hosts. The SCCA will doing it's driving school thing, as well as dyno on premise for you to 'road dyno' your car!   See the Carlisle site for full details.

    Saturday, is the big 'fun Field'  If it's sunny weather, one could expect anywhere from 1200 - 2000 cars on the field(s)  And don't forget the 200-500 vendor and Car Corral spaces. 

   Road Rally
   We will again be sponsoring a small fun road rally through the nearby countryside and historic district of downtown Carlisle.  A nice scenic drive starting out north right along the Susquehanna River, up into the mountains for some nice twisties, and back down through Cumberland Gap right back into Carlisle. Points for 'observations', items collected etc, will be tallied and awards given is a few classes as well. You can each chose to run  TSD, or Points, or Sights and Questions, or j-f-t-h-o-i.        8^)

   Fun Field and car 'Show in a Show'     
   NASS will be holding it's own car show with awards to a variety of classes. A road rally is planned with final details to be decided on by the attendees themselves. Gail Tegler will be personally hosting a Free lunch for registrants on Saturday.  Don't forget the massive food court that Carlisle has as well.

    So far, as briefly discussed last year at Saturday's dinner, the plans are burgers, beers and Billiards at Fast Freddie's (a local family style fun Pub)

Sunday May 22,2005

      Sunday is the day Carlisle gives away it's awards. Largest club in attendance and etc. It's also the drawing for the car they give away every year as a door prize. Anyone and everyone registered for the show field, and in attendance on Sunday, could win a free car!  It looks like it's a 1976 Fiat 124 Sport Spider 1800  this year.
