ITINERARY FOR 2007 CENTRAL REGION SPIT TOGETHER

FRIDAY

11:00 AM Leave host hotel for Patton Museum at Fort Knox. You will see lots of armored vehicles and hopefully get to see some run. The museum closes at 4:30PM

5:30 PM Dinner at Historic Doe Run Inn. This Inn sits beside a stream which Daniel Boone’s brother, Squire, named Doe Run in 1778. Construction on the building began in 1780 and part of the work was done by Abraham Lincoln’s father who was a stonemason. The "new" part was completed in 1821. www.doeruninn.com.

8:30-11:00 PM We will have a hospitality room open for registration and conversation.

SATURDAY

7:30 AM Those who wish to will go to Bob Evans on Hurstbourne Lane for breakfast.

9:00 AM Leave host hotel for show site on Frankfort Avenue. Gates open at 9:00.

Immediately after the show, we will go to a park just across the river to have a panoramic picture taken.

6:00 Or immediately after the picture taking proceed to Bill and Marie Tilford’s house for burgers, brats and all the fixin’s. We will have to entertain ourselves as our neighbors are all really close. We will do door prizes and trophies at that time.

SUNDAY

7:30 AM Those who wish to will go to Mimi’s on Hurstbourne Lane for breakfast. We have been told they have wonderful breakfasts. After breakfast you will have free time until 11:00.

11:00 AM Leave host hotel to go to Tumbleweed Restaurant for lunch This is Tex-Mex fare but they also have other food available. Hopefully they will have their Strawberry Stagecoach available which we heartily recommend for desert or if you prefer, just have it for lunch. That also works for me.

1:00-2:00 Board Belle of Louisville from wharf on River Road

2:00-4:00 PM Cruise the lovely Ohio River on the oldest operating steamboat in the United States. There will be a Bluegrass Band performing or go topside to view the scenery.

After the cruise, anyone who wants to come is invited to the Tilfords for a small tech session and whatever we can find to eat. Stay as long as you want, but I go to bed at 10:30.

We sincerely hope you enjoy what we have planned and will participate in as much as possible. Naturally children are welcome at all events.
